A Hogette for Jimmy Dean

This must be a match made in heaven. All time Mud Bowl King, Jimmy Dean, a blue-ribbon winning hog, need no longer waddle the world alone. Her name is Gracie, although it is difficult to determine if she lives up to her moniker because she rarely moves. and she is the beloved pet of Pat and Ginger Blymyer, proprietors of Snowvillage Inn.

The 700-pound bundle of pork pulchritude could be just the ticket to attract a boar (or is he?) like Jimmy Dean. While the Mt. Washington Valley Hogs are training for the match or for the parties that are an integral part of the weekend, Jimmy no longer has to wallow all alone. As can be seen from the picture, Gracie has wallowing down to a science.

Jimmy, no doubt, will have to turn on the charm if he wishes to win Gracie’s heart. Gracie is an independent sort, one of the new breed of pigs - she even has her own home, Gracie’s mansion, and receives fan mail from Inn guests who have enjoyed visiting with her during their stay in Mt. Washington Valley. Living in a mansion is not all the luxuries Gracie has enjoyed. She eats gourmet leftovers from Snowvillage Inn along with Purina Pig Chow - even Miss Piggy would be envious. Even harder to top, Jimmy Dean, are the gummy bears that Pat Blymyer sneaks to her as a special treat.

No, with all that luxury, it’s not going to be easy to woo her but the legendary savoir faire of the Mt. Washington Valley Hogs must surely have rubbed off on their mascot, Jimmy Dean. Gracie, though slowing down considerably in her third year, may be just the match for the portly porker who has been the past star of the Mud Bowl Parade.
