Mountain Ear Chronicles Vision
The vision and mission of the Mountain Ear Chronicles website -- www.mtearchronicles.com -- is to preserve, archive, and make available to the public the stories, photos, and artwork from the Mountain Ear newspaper, which was published in Mount Washington Valley, New Hampshire, from 1976 to 2005.
Preserving the many articles, which retold the history of the region, profiled its many artisans and characters, as well as celebrated its innovative spirit, was the vision of R. Stephen Eastman (1949-2008). This website is just one way to begin to achieve Steve’s dream of preserving the classic “lifestyle and news journal” that he and Jane Golden founded in 1976.
